Busy Scots road shut for 10 hours after serious crash in Aberdeenshire

Police are probing a serious road crash that closed a stretch of a busy Scots road for ten hours.

Emergency crews were called to the A90 near Boddam in Aberdeenshire just after 12am on Saturday July 31.

Police Scotland did not disclose the number or vehicles or people involved.

No injuries have been reported at this stage and the exact circumstances are not known.

Enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record: "Emergency services were called to a report of a serious road crash on the A90 near Boddam around 12.10am on Saturday, July 31.

"The road was closed in both directions for around 10 hours.

"Enquiries into the crash continue."
