Busy Salford road 'could collapse at any minute' due to flooding

A road has been closed in Swinton due to flooding.

The A6 is shut in both directions where Chorley Road feeds into Manchester Road.

Water has flooded the road and damaged the tarmac.

Photographs taken at the scene show huge cracks in the road surface.

One passer-by said the road looked like it could collapse.

"It looks like it could collapse at any minute. It's not the first time it has happened either.

"It flooded along here not so long ago."
