A busy Merseyside road was closed this morning after an a car flipped on its side during an accident.
Police and paramedics rushed to Preston New Road in Southport after a crash involving a Vauxhall Astra and a Citroen C4, at around 7.35am.
A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital, though police officers say no injuries were reported.

The busy road remained closed at the junction with Fairhaven Road for almost an hour, though has since reopened.
A Merseyside Police spokesman told the ECHO : "Emergency services were in Southport following a damage-only collision this morning (Tuesday).
"At around 7.35am, a collision was reported involving a Vauxhall Astra and a Citroen C4.
"No injuries were reported, both vehicles were recovered and the road was reopened around 8.20am."
