Busy Manchester city centre street closed off after sinkhole appears in road

A sinkhole has appeared on a busy road in Manchester city centre.

A section of King Street has been closed off after the hole appeared this morning.

Traffic is being diverted away from the area and some bus services are running on different routes to avoid the road.

The council said the road has been shut off between York Street and Cross Street.
