Busy Kilmarnock road sealed off as crews respond to town centre fire

Emergency service crews have been responding to a fire in Kilmarnock town centre this morning.

Police officers and a fire crew have been on scene at a blaze where Dundonald Road merges on to John Finnie Street, next to the town's Sheriff Court.

One lane of the road was sealed off with traffic being directed through the other lane.

Emergency service crews were still on the scene as of 9.10am.

The circumstances of the fire or severity are unclear, but Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
