Busy Edinburgh Lidl to be temporarily closed until November for makeover

One of three Lidl's based in the Leith neighbourhood of Edinburgh will be temporarily closing down in order to undergo renovations.

Posting in a public Facebook page, one Edinburgh local wrote: "Yikes! Lidl at the Kirkgate is going to be shut for a while..." Alongside this caption was a photo of the outside of the store, telling customers that they will be closed for a number of months.

The poster read: "Closed for a lick of paint. August 20 - November 24. Your nearest store is 248 Easter Rd or Logie Green Rd, Edinburgh." Two more Lidl's nearby the closed store will be available to shop in.

The Easter Road store is 0.9 mile away from the Great Junction Street store, and the Logie Green Road is slightly further away at 1.4 miles of a journey.
