A BUSY stretch of the A9 has been closed in Caithness following a crash involving a motorbike and a van.
Emergency services were called to the A9 north of Dunbeath at around 3pm on Tuesday following reports of a collision between a motorbike and a van.
Police have closed the road in both directions and have advised motorists to find an alternative route.
Traffic Scotland also reported the incident at 3.39pm, and has warned drivers to expect long delays.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The A9 north of Dunbeath is closed in both directions following a crash involving a motorbike and van which happened around 3pm on Tuesday, 23 June, 2026.
“Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.”
