Busted reunion tour: Cardiff and Swansea tickets, dates and pre-sale details

Popular noughties boy band Busted have announced a comeback tour in celebration of their 20th anniversary, with Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis and James Bourne reuniting for a Greatest Hits concert across the UK - and Welsh fans get ready, because there are dates in both Cardiff and Swansea.

This news comes shortly after the three members teased their revival after posting a series of cryptic images and posts on social media which read simply "23/3/23" after celebrating their 20th birthday last August.

Today, March 29, marks the first chance to buy tickets as the O2 Priority pre-sale starts at 9am on Ticketmaster, which fans can access using this link. General sale tickets will be available to buy on Ticketmaster and Ticketek from 9am this Friday, March 31.

The band formed in 2000 but didn't release their first record as Busted until 2002. They disbanded sadly in 2005, going their separate ways in the music industry, but reformed in 2015. And fans, who are ecstatic at this news, won't have to wait long to see the Year 3000 singers as they embark on their tour this coming September.

Alongside this 20th Anniversary Greatest Hits tour - which will also feature Hanson - Busted will be releasing an album filled with reimagined versions of their iconic songs - such as 'Airhostess' and 'What I Go To School For' - and will feature other classic 2000s bands such as All Time Low, Simple Plan and McFly - with whom James and Matt joined forces between 2013 and 2015 to create a supergroup.

Announcing the news on their social media, they wrote: "Busted is back. Tickets for our 20th Anniversary Greatest Hits tour with special guests @hanson go on sale next Friday 31st March. Check out the link in our bio to access pre sale. Loser Kid 2.0 featuring our friends @simpleplan will be out on the 14th April. A decade is a long time, two decades is an even longer time. We can’t wait to see you. #Busted20"

Speaking of this reunion, the band talked to The Sun and James said: "It’s out of this world that we get to do this and we couldn’t be more excited about it. It’s going to be wicked."

Charlie, who quit the band 18 years ago, added: "I’m glad that we split up at the time because it allowed us to do this and come back together.” Matt concluded: "Now it feels like how it’s meant to feel. It’s like the very beginning again. Right now it feels like it’s barely even begun."

Tickets for the arena shows, two of which will be at Cardiff International Arena and Swansea Arena, will be released on Friday, March 31, on Ticketmaster with presale tickets available from Wednesday, March 29, at 9am, via TicketTek.

Tickets will be available to purchase from Ticketmaster once general sale goes live at 9am on Friday, March 31.

For presale tickets at Cardiff International Arena, which they'll be playing on Sunday, September 3, and the Swansea Arena show, which will take place on Tuesday, September 5, set your alarms for 9am on Wednesday, March 29.
