Busker hits back at man who slates her singing - but leaves people divided

Performing in the street is certainly not one for the weak - especially if you are not used to critiquing from the audience.

Well, one street singer certainly had enough when a man slated her singing, as she sang to shoppers.

Samantha Lloyd, from Stoke-on-Trent, was performing in the street - which she enjoys doing regularly when she is not performing at gigs, parties or weddings - and has certainly had more than her fair share of encounters with hecklers.

But on this particular day, Samantha had certainly had enough and responded to a man who offered her '£20 for you to shush'.

The singer took to TikTok to show the encounter in a video captioned: "I am sick of boys being rude to me", where she got back at the 'rude' boy.

She replied back to the man, shouting: "That's rude, "Say it to my face. Come on. And I'm serious, mate, come say it to my face".

She then repeatedly called the heckler 'a little boy' ending her speech with a crude innuendo, she hit back: ''Little boy with a little...''

While finally adding: ''Obviously got a complex if you want to abuse women in the street.''

The clip has now been trending on TikTok with over 20 million views and over four million likes.

However many viewers seemed to be divided on whether Samantha was right to reply to the boy.

One congratulated the singer saying: "Thanks for embarrassing him."

While another stated: "I think she reacted perfectly," a second commented.

However, others seemed to disagree with the way Samantha handled the situation, calling the reply unprofessional.

Someone wrote: "She has some attitude, need to take a slagging off you're a singer not everyone will like you".

While another viewer commented: "You have to be strong to make it in that business, if you can't handle it then don't do it."

Samantha has since posted another video in which she apologised to the audience saying: "Sorry, I lost my patience here and reacted badly but this is nearly every time I busk."
