The Mexican businessman who once held an interest in buying Newcastle United has wished the club's new signing, Santiago Munoz, well after the 19-year-old left Santos Laguna.
Alejandro Irarragorri, who is the chair of Santos through his company Group Orlegi, looked at buying Newcastle back in 2019 but a deal could not be struck with Mike Ashley.
United, however, have agreed to bring Munoz to the club on an initial 18-month loan deal, and Irarragorri had this message for the youngster: "All the best today and always Santiago.

"Do not forget two things: success is just the door to a new challenge, and always, always, win to succeed."
He wished the forward well with his move to Newcastle.
Irarragorri's company also noted the move, tweeting: "For Orlegi Sports, the development and training of talent is a central pillar of our organization. Congratulations Santiago, and let the successes continue!"
Munoz's move to Newcastle will see him start out in the club's academy and the U23 set-up, and is likely to be the only deal done by the club on transfer deadline day.
