Businessman accused of taking disabled woman's train seat insists he 'did nothing wrong'

A businessman who was shamed for allegedly not giving up his seat for a disabled woman has spoken out saying he hasn’t done anything wrong.

Cat Lee, 43, posted to Facebook saying she was forced to stand when two men took her reserved seats

Ms Lee, who suffers from chronic pains, criticised the men sarcastically saying she is “sure their wives and mother would be proud”.

Raja Taj, one of the men pictured in the photograph, said there were no seat reservations on the train as there had been an announcement saying they were cancelled and he was not asked to move, the MailOnline reported.

Mr Taj has also claimed that Ms Lee was not forced to stand and was able to sit with her friend across the aisle.

He also said the man pictured next to him actually offered to and eventually moved seats so Ms Lee could sit opposite her friend.

The father of one of the men, who has requested not to be named, said his son would always give up his seat if he thought it was necessary.

“I know my son and I know that he would give up his seat for the elderly, or anyone that needed it,” he told the MailOnline.

“He told me she was sitting all the way and that reservations were cancelled on the train.”
