Businesses urged to help shape council recovery plan

Businesses in North East Lincolnshire are being asked to help shape the local authority’s recovery plan following Covid-19.

A survey has been launched to understand the impact, and what it may lead to.

Cllr John Fenty, Cabinet member for regeneration and investment, said: “We’re looking to get some real business intelligence about how the pandemic has directly affected our local businesses.

“Businesses of all sizes and types have been affected in different ways. It might be that some SMEs have been able to create a new business model, allowing staff to work from home and reduce the need for office space. Or some larger production businesses might have different requirements, needing to adapt the physical space to allow staff to social distance effectively. Every business will have been affected differently.

“We know that the pandemic has created a new version of our economy, and it’s important that we understand the local position to help us support businesses both in the short and long term.”

Businesses can access the survey at https://nelbusinesssurvey.questionpro.eu until midnight on Sunday, September 20.
