Businesses targeted in Lincoln Park burglaries: police

Chicago police are warning businesses of three reported burglaries in May in Lincoln Park.

Police are warning businesses in Lincoln Park to ensure their alarms are working and activated after hours following three reported burglaries in May.

In each incident, the offender breaks the front window of the business and gains entry, according to a community alert from Chicago police. Once inside, the person takes cash from register drawers before leaving.

The incidents took place May 25 and 26 in the 1700 block of West Fullerton Avenue and May 30 in the 3400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at all times of the day, police said.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
