Businesses robbed at gunpoint in Englewood: police

Two businesses were robbed at gunpoint in February and March in Englewood on the South Side.

In each incident, an armed person entered business and demanded money from the registers, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The robberies happened about 8 p.m. Feb. 11 in the 6800 block of South Ashland Avenue and about 9 a.m. March 7 in the 7300 block of South Ashland Avenue, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area South detectives at 312-747-8273.
