Two businesses near East Midlands Airport were evacuated after a bomb threat.
Leicestershire Police confirmed that officers closed off Beverly Road, near Pegasus Business Park near Castle Donington.
The area was cordoned off as a precautionary measure.
One of the businesses involved has been confirmed as UPS - a worldwide logistics firm, reports DerbyshireLive.
Police said the threat was made to one of the buildings and is believed to have been a hoax.
The airport itself was not affected or involved.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "Police were called at around 7.50pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 5 February) to a report of a threat made to an office building within Pegasus Business Park.
"Officers attended the scene and, as a precautionary measure, two buildings within the vicinity were evacuated and a cordon put in place at Beverly road was closed at 8.30pm.
"Investigations carried out at the scene have found the report to be a hoax and the enquiries are continuing into the report which is being treated as malicious."
A spokeswoman for UPS confirmed an evacuation took place at their premises.
“We can confirm that we carried out an evacuation of our East Midlands Airport facility at approximately 19:45 on Wednesday 5 February," she said.
“Following a thorough investigation to ensure the safety of our staff and the public the facility was re-opened by the early hours of Thursday 6 February.
“In the meantime we are cooperating fully with the authorities in their wider investigation. Please understand that as the investigation is ongoing, we cannot provide any further details at this time.”
