Chicago police are warning businesses in Gage Park and Back of the Yards about a pair of burglaries reported in August in the Southwest Side neighborhoods.
In each case, someone was able to break into the businesses by breaking a side window, Chicago police said in a community alert. They then took an unknown amount of money from the registers before fleeing.
The burglaries happened overnight between Aug. 19 and 20 in the 2700 block of West 51st Street and about 4:30 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 1600 block of West 47th Street, police said.
Police did not offer a description of the burglar.
