Businesses burglarized in Englewood: police

Police are warning residents of a string of burglaries reported in December and January in Englewood on the South Side.

In these incidents someone broke into unoccupied businesses and stole property, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The burglaries happened:

  • Between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. Dec. 3, between 5 p.m. and 7:25 p.m. Dec. 9, and about 6:25 a.m. Dec. 16 in the 2000 block of West 63rd Street; and
  • About 5:35 a.m. Dec. 19 and about 5 a.m. Jan. 3 in the 1900 block of West 63rd Street.

Police believe one person is involved.
