Chicago police are warning businesses in Englewood of two burglaries reported in September in the South Side neighborhood.
In the first instance, a male wearing dark clothing and a dark baseball cap, broke into a business by breaking a window with a cement block, Chicago police said in a community alert.
In the second burglary, the same male climbed down from the roof of the business and cut through the drywall of an adjoining business, police said. Once inside, the person took merchandise and cash registers.
The burglaries happened about 4 a.m. Sept. 28, in the 6900 block of South Halsted Street and about 6 a.m. Sept. 29 in the 7000 block of South Halsted Street, police said.
