Businesses burglarized in Beverly, Mount Greenwood: police

Chicago police are warning businesses in Beverly and Mount Greenwood about a series of burglaries that have occurred in the South Side neighborhoods this summer.

In several cases, someone broke through the glass doors of the businesses and stole money from the cash registers, Chicago police said. In another incident, they forced the back door open to steal the cash.

All of the burglaries happened between 11 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. between July 13 and Aug. 9, police said. They happened in:

· The 3800 block of West 111th Street;

· The 3200 block of West 111th Street;

· The 2200 block of West 95th Street;

· The 2500 block of West 111th Street; and

· The 10400 block of South Kedzie Avenue.

Police did not provide a description of any suspects.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call Area South detectives at 312-747-8273.
