A support programme for Humber small firms has helped more than 200 businesses since the coronavirus pandemic began.
Humber Business Growth Hub’s #GrowMySME programme has awarded almost £500,000 of grants since March, and says more is still available.
The ERDF funded project has boosted its activity over recent months to help businesses through the lockdown period by awarding £490,000 of ICT grants to help SMEs adapt to working from home.
SMEs from across the Humber region can also access grant funding and specialist support through Business Growth and Finance for Growth schemes, with grants of up to £5,000 on offer for one-to-one support from expert financial and business advisors.
A start-up grant of £1,000 is also available to businesses under a year old.
Kishor Tailor, chief executive of the Humber LEP, said: “There’s been an incredible demand for support through the #GrowMySME programme at what has been a very challenging time for business.
"It’s never been more important to ensure our local businesses are thriving and we’ve put extra measures in place to ensure we can support as many SMEs as possible to bounce back from Covid-19.
“We’ve still got other grants available through our Finance and Business Support schemes, and our expert business advisors are able to help businesses develop their ideas, get additional support or access training to help them grow.
