World shares fall as pricier energy feeds inflation fears

Shares have fallen in Europe and Asia as surging prices of oil, coal and other energy fanned fears over inflation. Benchmarks declined in Paris, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Oil prices extended gains, having closed above $80 per barrel on Monday.

Southwest cancels hundreds more flights; passengers stranded
Southwest-Airlines-Cancelled-Flights
Southwest Airlines has canceled hundreds more flights following a weekend of major service disruptions that it blamed on bad weather and air traffic control issues. The pilots union accused the company of a botched response to what it said would have been a minor challenge for other airlines.
