Three features from Scottish Business Insider’s second Property Review have led to our property correspondent being shortlisted for a UK press award.
Francis Shennan is up against five other journalists for the Property Trade Awards Magazine Journalist of the Year. Insider is the only Scottish publication in the shortlists for 18 categories selected from 120 entries.
The features Shennan submitted covered heritage, industrial property and logistics, and infrastructure. The winners in the 2019 Property Press Awards will be announced in London on May 21.
“The property pages in Insider already give me more scope than other journalists in Scotland to explore property and construction issues in more depth,” said Shennan.
“The bi-annual Property Review is an added opportunity to look at aspects of the sector that might otherwise be over-looked. As a sector, property necessarily takes a long-term view. The media covering it should be able to match this.”
