Business in Focus in major expansion of its property portfolio

Social enterprise Business in Focus has significantly expanded its property portfolio with the acquisition of six new property locations across the Valleys and in Wrexham.

Business in Focus, which also specialises in business support, has acquired a range of premises from Venture Wales.

The deal, the value of which hasn't been disclosed but with finance provided by Handelsbanken, sees Business in Focus adding a further 150,000 sq ft of flexible workspace. leased to small firms, to its property portfolio.

Its new property interests, which have around 215 existing tenants, are:

 Ty Menter, Ty Cynon and Ty Antur at Navigation Park in Abercynon

Corporation Building and Enterprise Centre, Aberdare.

Bedwas Enterprise Centre, Bedwas

Valleys Enterprise Centre, Merthyr Tydfil

Enterprise Centre at the Pant Industrial Estate Dowlais

Units 12 and 14 at Wilkinson Business Park Wrexham.

The acquisition increases its office space by 67% from 227,000 sq to 380,000 sq ft, taking its locations from 15 to 21.

Its  existing 15 offices, across Wales, which include those in Maesteg, Bridgend and Newport, have an occupancy rate of 98%.

It tenants are mainly small firms.

Business in Focus, which has its head office in Pencoed, was established 30 years ago.

It is also currently the lead delivery partner for the Welsh Government's flagship business advisory service, Business Wales
