A blaze which was sparked by a car fire near a Perth freeway has been downgraded, after earlier threatening lives and homes in east Baldivis.
An emergency warning was issued for people in the vicinity of Karnup Road, Young Road and Kwinana Freeway southbound in eastern parts of Baldivis in the City of Rockingham.
The warning has been downgraded to watch and act because the fire is now stationary.
However it is not contained or controlled.
People are urged to stay alert of any changes as a possible threat to lives and homes remains.
The fire started near the intersection of Karnup Road and Kwinana Freeway.
A number of roads have been closed including Kwinana Freeway southbound between Safety Bay Road and Karnup Road.
