Firefighters are tackling a grass fire that is burning out of control in the Bega Valley.
The blaze has burnt more than 100 hectares south of the Cobargo township.
On Saturday afternoon, the fire service issued an emergency warning, which said strong winds were causing the fire to spreading quickly to the east.
But in an update on its website at 4.31pm, the fire was downgraded to "watch and act" status, and the service said conditions were easing.

Firefighters were working to slow the spread of the fire in grasslands.
The fire service said residents in the area should continue to monitor conditions and follow their bushfire survival plans.
Anyone whose life was at risk should call Triple Zero immediately.
Saturday is a day of very high fire danger on the NSW far south coast, with all fire permits suspended.
At one stage on Saturday afternoon, there were 60 bush and grass fires burning across NSW. Most were in the northern part of the state and 19 were uncontained.
