Buses will replace some light rail services on Saturday and Sunday due to construction works on a new light rail stop at Sandford Street, Mitchell.

Light rail services between EPIC and Racecourse and Gungahlin Place will shut over the weekend.

Light rail services will continue to operate between Alinga Street and Epic and Racecourse stops.

QCity will operate replacement buses between Dickson interchange and Gungahlin Place.

Replacement buses will depart from Platform 3 at Gungahlin place and Platform 2 at Dickson Bus Interchange.

Buses will run every six to eight minutes, and customers will not be required to tap on or off their MyWay tickets when using replacement bus services.

Light rail replacement buses will not stop at EPIC and Racecourse due to road closures on Flemington Road between Randwick Foad and Sandford Street.

A detour will be in place for motorists via Well Station Drive, Morisset Road and Randwick Road.

EPIC Park and Ride and COVID-19 drive through testing at EPIC will continue to operate during works.

Heavy traffic is expected on Sunday due to the annual Rise Above Cancer Convoy, which may cause delays to light rail replacement bus services.
