Buses cut off Leeds Swarcliffe estate as yobs terrorise drivers

A bus company has announced buses will not be going through a Leeds estate for the rest of the day to avoid vandals.

First West Yorkshire released a statement on Twitter to say the 40 and 56 services would be avoiding the Swarcliffe Estate in both directions for the rest of Saturday, March 5.

First said this was because of "attempted vandalism".

"So sorry for any issues this may cause on your journey.

"This will be in place until the end of service this evening. This is for the safety of both our drivers and passengers. I am sorry for the disruption caused."
