A bus stop has left villagers baffled as its seats are 10 inches too high - meaning no one can touch the floor when sitting.
Residents joke the bus stop in Fleering, Essex, which has been newly installed, was "made for giants".
Local Councillor Paul Thorogood has said that his legs dangle when he sits on the seat- and he is 6ft tall.
"The height of the seats isn’t very user-friendly...unless you’re a giant!" he complained.
"I'm 6ft and my legs are hanging off the edge. For a 5ft 2ins tall pensioner with a dodgy knee or hip it’s totally unusable.
"The bus shelter seats are meant to be 20 inches high. But one is 30 inches and the other is 26 inches.

"They're brand new and should be fitted at the correct height."
Cllr Thorogood said the developer that paid for the new bus stops, Bloor Homes, did so as part of a deal whereby they would erect 165 new homes in the area.
However, it is Essex County Council and not Bloor Homes that must pay for any upkeep, leaving the tax payer to foot the bill for the replacement.
It is hoped that the developer will fix the bus shelter.
Cllr Thorogood said: "Something's not quite right. They haven't fixed it yet but it will be in the pipeline hopefully.
“Many people who are elderly or have a disability need to be able to sit down when waiting for a bus.
“At the moment, they can’t.”
Bloor Homes and Essex County Council were contacted for comment.
