Bus on fire on busy Scots road as crews battle large blaze

Fire crews are battling a blaze on a bus that was driving on a busy Scots road.

Firefighters were called to the B921 outside of Kinglassie, Fife, to reports of the vehicle ablaze on the dual carriageway earlier today.

Dramatic pictures online show a trail of white smoke billowing from the bus which has been pulled over.

The flames are being doused by firefighters with a hose in the picture.

Two engines are currently on the scene fighting the blaze.

The road has been reportedly shut to traffic in parts.

A fire service spokesman said:  "At 2.15pm we were called to reports of a bus alight on the B921 road.

"We have two appliances at the scene, one from Kirkcaldy and one from Glenrothes."

A Police spokeswoman said they were helping the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service with traffic management in the area.

It is understood there have been no reports of injuries from the blaze horror.
