An Nottingham bus driver was said to have saved a passenger's life after she began to choke on an apple.
Mark, who drives the NCT pink 30 bus which travels from Wollaton to the city, left his cab and raced to the back of the bus after a passenger called for help because a schoolgirl was choking.
It was here that Mark performed back blows to clear the piece of apple from her throat.
A spokesman for NCT said: "A customer recently got in touch to praise our driver Mark, who they say saved a schoolgirl's life after they were choking on the bus.
"Our thanks to this customer and another customer on the bus who helped reassure the schoolgirl, checked she was OK and ensured she had water and was comfortable."
A number of people took to social media to praise the driver.
One person said on Facebook: "Well done Mark, amazing stuff!"
And another user added: "It's scary when they start coughing (which could turn into choking) - well done!"
