Bus crash near Glasgow Fort leaves two vehicles ‘down embankment’

Emergency services are currently dealing with a horror bus crash involving two vehicles on the B806 near Glasgow Fort.

Police were called to the scene on Gartloch Road, Gartcosh, at around 6.10pm on Sunday after a McGill’s Bus reportedly collided with a car.

An eyewitness told how both vehicles had careered down an embankment and were badly damaged after the serious collision.

They said: “They looked like they’ve crashed head on and they’re both down the embankment nose first.

“The passenger window of the car was all smashed in.

"I’d be really surprised if there aren’t any serious injuries because it looked really bad.”

It is not known if anyone has been hurt or if any passengers were onboard the bus at the time of the crash.
