Bus badly smashed up after 'head on collision' with car in Cardiff

A car collided with a Cardiff Bus in a late night crash which woke residents.

The head on collision, which happened at 11pm on Cyncoed Road in Cardiff on Tuesday, left the bus without a front window and saw its engine exposed.

A resident on the street said: "It woke us up, there was a loud bang. A neighbour's car, which was parked, was destroyed, and had to be towed away.

One resident said the front of the bus was completely destroyed (Wales Online)

They added: "The front of the bus was also destroyed, and the actual car that crashed into the bus and other cars was a complete wreck."

They added that the police dealt with the incident swiftly and they believed no one was seriously injured.

A spokeswoman for Cardiff Bus said: "We are currently working with the emergency services as part of their ongoing investigations."

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police confirmed it attended the scene following the incident which happened at 11pm on Tuesday night.

No arrests were made.
