Bus and car collide on West George Street in Glasgow city centre crash

A bus and car have collided in Glasgow city centre, leaving one person injured.

Police were called to West George Street at the junction of Wellington Street at 10.20am this morning, and emergency services have since shut off part of the street.

It's understood one person sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed to Glasgow Live: "We got a call around 10.20am this morning. West George Street at the junction of Wellingston Street.

"It's a collision between a car and a bus.

"Paramedics are at the scene - it seems to be minor injuries to one person.

"The road is currently blocked."

Glasgow City Council's Traffic Control and Management team (TRAFFCOM) confirmed: "Due to a road traffic collision, West George Street will be closed eastbound from West Campbell Street until further notice.

"Emergency Services are in attendance and road users should follow Police direction.

"Further bulletins will be issued as more information becomes available."

UPDATE 11:10: The road has now fully reopened.
