A water main has burst on Wakefield Avenue, causing the road to close as emergency services attend.
ACT Fire & Rescue and police are at the scene of the burst main on Wakefield Avenue between Northbourne Avenue and Dooring Street.
Wakefield Avenue is closed east bound towards Dooring Street.
Icon Water and Transport Canberra City Services are currently working to make the scene safe and undertake necessary repairs.
ACT Policing will remain on scene for some time to conduct traffic management.
