Burst pipe in North Glasgow causing disruption to water supply

A burst water pipe is causing disruption for households in north Glasgow and Bishopbriggs this morning.

People living in the G20, G21, G22 and G64 postcode areas have had their water supply interrupted as a result of the burst - which is located on Springburn Way.

Scottish Water advise that alternative supplies have been introduced which should bring a majority of the affected customers back into supply whilst repairs take place.

Although some people in the area may notice some fluctuation to their water pressure or discoloured water as a result.

They have also confirmed that a team is now on-site at Springburn Way to carry out the repair and start to return supplies to normal.



Excavation work will need to take place to expose and repair the damaged the water pipe, with traffic management required before this work takes place.
