Burst pipe in EH4 leaves Edinburgh residents with no running water

Edinburgh residents in the EH4 area have been left with no running water this afternoon due to a burst pipe.

The incident has been ongoing since around 2:30pm, with Scottish Water engineers currently on site to try and fix the problem.

Residents in the area currently have no running water in their homes.

One local said "Suddenly no water at all in my flat in EH4", later adding: "Oh, turns out a road crew on the next street accidentally went through a water main."

"Our water has gone off, any idea what it will be back on?", another local asked Scottish Water.

A Scottish Water spokesperson said: "We have a burst six-inch main in your area. The engineers are on site now working on it and the repair should be completed by about 4pm but will take time for the mains to recharge and be back to full supply."
