OHIO- Throwing a burrito bowl at someone can get you to serve time in jail, a sentence that could be commuted to doing time working at a fast-food restaurant.
That is the crossroads a woman from Parma, OH, faced for tossing a burrito bowl at a Chipotle worker.
According to news reports, Rosemary Hayne, a 39-year-old woman, threw a burrito bowl at the store's manager, Emily Russell, because she was not satisfied with how her order came out.
A judge in Parma Municipal Court sentenced Rosemary Hayne to six months in jail, with 90 days suspended.
Late in November, Judge Timothy Gilligan ruled on the case, declaring Hayne guilty.
"You didn't get your burrito bowl the way you like it, and this is how you respond?" Judge Gilligan said on announcing the sentence. "This is not 'Real Housewives' of Parma. This behavior is not acceptable."
Judge Gilligan, however, offered Hayne a chance to reduce her 180-day sentence if she put in 20 hours a week for two months working at a fast-food restaurant.
