Burnt-out car discovered in Bolton park

A burnt-out car was discovered in a Bolton park this morning.

The charred vehicle was found in Leverhulme Park by the Bolton North East Wildlife Trail at around 8am today (July 21).

Dog walkers were urged to avoid the area due to glass and steel debris on the pathway.

The car was recovered by police at around 10.30am.

In a post, Bolton NEWT said: “Burned and dumped on Leverhulme Park, the exact spot used in the past to dump safes. Still smells fresh from the fire.

“Avoid walking around the path that loops around the back of premier fives, glass and steel all over the path.”
