Burnley vs West Ham prediction and odds: Michail Antonio backed to score at Turf Moor

West Ham travel to face a Burnley side struggling to gather momentum this season in the Premier League.

The Irons are favourites for the clash at Turf Moor at evens with Grosvenor Sport while Burnley are 27/10 and a draw is 13/5.

David Moyes' side have been nothing short of brilliant this season making London Stadium a fortress with wins against Liverpool and Chelsea in the league as well as securing a place in the round of 16 in the Europa League.

The visitors find themselves in the Champions League places on goal difference and a win in Lancashire can help them increase the gap to Manchester United.

They face a Burnley side who have had produced a number of strong performances but not the luck needed to go their own way.

Team stats

  • West Ham have finished 11 of their 15 league matches with both sides scoring while Burnley have finished eight of their matches this way - both teams to score is 16/25
  • Ten of West Ham's 15 matches have finished with three or more goals but Burnley have finished just six of their 14 matches this way - over 2.5 goals is 10/13
  • The Irons average 10.87 total corners but average 11.57 away from home while Burnley average 10.79 in total and 10.5 at home - over 11.5 total corners is 13/8

Player to watch

I am going to back Michail Antonio despite his form suggesting otherwise.

The Jamaican international started the season strongly with four goals in the first three league games but has since scored two in his last 11 appearances in the top-flight.

It may well be the opposition have found a well of dealing with West Ham's only recognised striker but he is overdue a goal by some margin.

I feel he will frustrate Burnley's defence and he will get his reward for it too.

H2H

This will be the 93rd meeting between the two sides with West Ham picking up 39 wins to Burnley's 35 along with 18 draws.

Last season the Hammers done the double over Sean Dyche's side.
