Burnley vs Liverpool prediction: Mo Salah can keep Champions League hopes alive

The Champions League dream is still alive but they will need to win their last two matches to maintain any hope

The Reds are the favourites at 2/9 with Betfred for their trip to Turf Moor while Burnley are 10/1 and a draw is 6/1.

With Chelsea beating Leicester City 2-1 last night, Jurgen Klopp's side have the perfect chance to overtake the Foxes in fourth thanks to their superior goal difference.

Although, Burnley will be looking to achieve their first league double over Liverpool since the 1929-30 after they ended the Reds' 68-games unbeaten home run earlier this season.

However, Liverpool have won five of their six Premier League away trips to Turf Moor winning the last three since losing 2-0 back in August 2006.

The Reds have won their final away league game in each of the last two season - they've not done so in more consecutive campaign since a run of three between 1987-88 and 1989-90.

Tips

  • Mo Salah to score two or more goals - 15/8
  • Liverpool to win and both teams to score - 11/8

Liverpool's chances for Champions League football will rest on their strikers, considering the overall poor form we have seen from their defence, largely thanks to injuries upon injuries upon injuries.

So the Reds will need Mo Salah to step up and with the Golden Boot up for grabs, there is a personal accolade on the line as well as another season in Europe's biggest contest.
