Burnley 1-3 Liverpool
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: Turf Moor
A much-changed Liverpool side came from behind to beat Burnley at Turf Moor and keep the pressure on Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp opted to make seven changes to the side that beat Everton on Sunday with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all left out of the starting XI.
But despite falling behind through Jack Cork’s close range effort, James Milner and Firmino, introduced off the bench in the second-half, produced the perfect response for the visitors.
Xherdan Shaqiri slotted a third home late on the counter attack to kill off any lingering hopes of a Burnley come back.

Head to Head
Burnley and Liverpool have faced each other on eight occasions in the Premier League, with only one match ending in a draw.
Liverpool, unsurprisingly, hold the upper hand have won six matches to Burnley’s one.
Sean Dyche’s side are, however, unbeaten in two of the last four meeting having drawn at Anfield last season and winning at Turf Moor during the 2016-17 campaign.
