Burnley vs Liverpool lineups: Confirmed team news, predicted XIs and latest injury updates

Alisson Becker will again be missing for Liverpool's trip to Burnley as the goalkeeper continues to recover from a calf injury.

Midfielder Naby Keita, who has not played since the Community Shield because of a hip/groin injury, is also absent from the Premier League tie at Turf Moor on Saturday evening.

Manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to make changes to his midfield having started with Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson last weekend, with James Milner an option.

Burnley will be without Johann Berg Gudmundsson. The Iceland winger suffered a calf injury midway through the second half of last weekend's 1-1 draw at Wolves and was withdrawn. Manager Sean Dyche is confident he will be available after the international break.

Fellow winger Robbie Brady stepped up his recovery from a fractured rib with a 75-minute run-out for the under-23s earlier this week although he is unlikely to be in contention to face the European champions, while midfielder Steven Defour remains a long-term absentee.

Predicted lineups

Burnley XI: Pope; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Pieters; Lennon, Cork, Westwood, McNeil; Wood, Barnes

Liverpool XI: Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Matip, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Mane, Firmino
