Burnley vs Crystal Palace: Prediction, team news, TV, live stream, h2h results - preview

Burnley host Crystal Palace at Turf Moor on Monday night

Crystal Palace can climb as high as fifth place with a win over Premier League strugglers Burnley this evening.

A 4-1 thumping of Leeds before the international break left the Eagles flying high and they now face a team who are winless and seemingly bereft of confidence.

Palace came sprinting out of the traps against Marcelo Bielsa’s side, and another fast start at Turf Moor could well be enough.

Date, time and venue

Burnley vs Crystal Palace is scheduled for a 5.30pm GMT kick-off today (Monday, November 23, 2020).

The match will be held behind closed doors at Turf Moor.

How to watch

TV channel: Today’s match will be televised on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with coverage from 5pm.

Live stream: Sky Sport subscribers will be able to watch the match online via Sky Go and the app.

Team news

Robbie Brady is a doubt for Burnley due to a tight hamstring sustained on Republic of Ireland duty.

Fellow wideman Johann Berg Gudmundsson has a calf niggle but is expected to be in contention, as is left-back Charlie Taylor, who has an Achilles tendon issue. Midfielder Dale Stephens misses out with a hamstring problem.

Erik Pieters has recovered from a calf injury while fellow defender Phil Bardsley is available again having tested positive for coronavirus last month.

Burnley provisional squad: Pope, Peacock-Farrell, Taylor, Tarkowski, Mee, Bardsley, Pieters, Long, Dunne, Brownhill, McNeil, Brady, Westwood, Benson, Wood, Barnes, Rodriguez, Vydra, Gudmundsson.

Palace have been boosted by the return to fitness of defenders Joel Ward (groin), Tyrick Mitchell (knock) and James Tomkins (thigh).

Midfielder Ebere Eze was withdrawn from England Under-21 duty as a precaution and is a doubt.

Luka Milivojevic, who serves the second game of a three-match suspension, tested positive for Covid-19 in Serbia last week.

Palace provisional squad: Guaita, Clyne, Dann, Kouyate, Van Aanholt, McArthur, Riedeweld, Townsend, McCarthy, Zaha, Ayew, Butland, Sakho, Ward, Tomkins, Mitchell, Cahill, Schlupp, Benteke, Batshuayi.

Prediction: Burnley 0-2 Crystal Palace

Burnley just have not got going this season and Sean Dyche’s future is starting to look in severe doubt.

Crystal Palace are still struggling for consistency, but when they click it really works. I don’t see the international break changing this, for either team.
