Burnley vs Crystal Palace: Chris Wood backed to score first against Hodgson's side

Crystal Palace travel to Burnley for this weekend's Premier League action.

The Eagles have a good record against Sean Dyche's men recently - having won their last three meetings.

But with Joel Ward out with a knee injury "for a number of weeks" and Mamadou Sakho still working on fitness, manager Roy Hodgson does have a task on his hands.

The Pools caught up with Rob Warlow on all things Palace:

Recommended bets:

  • Palace to draw - 9/4
  • Chris Wood to score first - 9/2

Win, lose or draw?

Palace have had a tough run of late, but have a good recent record against Burnley. They will be confident of getting at least a point, and that's what I think they will get (9/4).

Who's a good bet for 1st scorer?

Chris Wood (9/2) has been in fine form for Burnley in recent weeks, and he has scored against Palace in the past. He could do so again on Saturday.

Who's on the naughty step? (first card)

Wilfried Zaha. He has had a mixed campaign so far, but Burnley will be well aware of this threat and they will look to try and shackle him, which could result in his frustration getting the better of him.

Who's on pens?

Luka Milivojevic (10/3 anytime). The midfield is a dream for anyone on fantasy football when they hear Palace have a penalty.

Will your team keep a clean sheet?

They haven't done since September, and with Burnley doing well at the moment, they face a tough task to keep the Clarets out on Saturday. No clean sheet for me (3/10).
