Burnley vs Chelsea LIVE: Premier League latest score, goals, team news and how to watch

Sean Dyche’s inconsistent Burnley team play unbeaten Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. The Clarets have had a stop-start season so far, and come into this game in 13th place off the back of a 5-0 thumping at champions Manchester City last week.

Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea are two points off joint-leaders Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, but did comfortably win 3-1 at home to BATE Borisov in the Europa League this week and have only dropped two points away from home so far.

Follow all the latest below.

Eight goals, some absolute crackers among them, and plenty of banter from us today to go along with it.

Thanks for joining us on this blog for the two games, where Chelsea recorded yet another win but Arsenal were held at Palace.

Remember to join us in about half an hour as Manchester United face Everton.
FULL TIME
Full Time: Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal

So no 12th consecutive win for Unai Emery's Arsenal. Two penalties from Luka Milivojevic have seen Crystal Palace finally score at home, and despite an early fight-back in the second half thanks to Xhaka and Aubameyang's goals, it wasn't to be for the Basque manager.

The award of the second penalty will raise many an eyebrow, with Wilfried Zaha once more involved in diving controversy, but that won't matter to Roy Hodgson who sees his side end a run of three staright defeats.
FULL TIME
Full Time: Burnley 0-4 Chelsea

Maurizio Sarri won't have a much easier afternoon than that.

Goals from Morata, Barkley, Willian and Loftus-Cheek have seen the Italian's side go second in the league, and it is going to take something special to stop them.

Burnley have seen their squad and goal difference take a hit, with Jack Cork and James Tarkowski both picking up knocks, but Sean Dyche will hope for a better performance enxt week at West Ham.
GOAL!
GOAL! Burnley 0-4 Chelsea (Loftus-Cheek 90+2')

Far and away the least pleasing goal of the afternoon, but a goal it is nonetheless. Scrappy play from a corner finds Loftus-Cheek and he makes it four goals in two games by tapping home.
90 mins: Burnley 0-3 Chelsea

Giroud must wonder what he has to do to score, this time seeing a header from point-blank range tipped on to the bar by Hart. Four minutes added on at Turf Moor as well.
90 mins: Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal

Four added minutes.
89 min: Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal

What a chance for the substitute Aaron Ramsey. Xhaka's cross finds him in all kinds of space but he fails to get anything on his header and Hennessey collects easily.
SUBS
88 min: Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal

Substitution for Crystal Palace, with Jason Puncheon replacing Kouyate.
86 min: Burnley 0-3 Chelsea

I think Sean Dyche will be wondering which players he will be left with today. James Tarkowski goes down now and is off the field for the moment.

Meanwhile Loftus-Cheek has a chance to make it four but his shot hits the side netting.
GOAL! Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal (Milivojevic 83')

Same corner from the Serbian, and while Leno goes the right way there is too much power on the spot-kick.

The decision to award it however appears to be slightly more controversial, with replays showing Zaha somewhat involved in a cheap foul.
82 min: Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal
Another penalty to Palace!
SUBS
79 min: Burnley 0-3 Chelsea

Speaking of ex-Arsenal players, here is another as Cesc Fabregas comes on for Jorginho
78 min: Burnley 0-3 Chelsea

Olivier Giroud hasn't scored much lately, but he nearly ends that drought here. Another chipped ball from Jorginho finds the onrushing Willian who sets up the Frenchman.

However the former Arsenal man curls his first-time effort wide of the far post.
75 min: Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal

Arsenal have had to ride a Palace fightback in the last twenty minutes but they create another chance through Alex Iwobi. The Nigerian has his shot blocked behind for a corner though with Lacazette well placed.
SUBS
72 min: Burnley 0-3 Chelsea

It is getting worse for Sean Dyche. Jack Cork heads off injured following a clash with Ross Barkley and is replaced by Ashley Westwood.

Meanwhile Olivier Giroud comes on for the visitors for Alvaro Morata, who had been booked.
Twenty minutes to go in both fixtures. Where will the points go at Selhurst Park? How many more will Chelsea add at Turf Moor?
SUBS
67 min: Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal

Palace have responded well after Arsenal's four-minute blitz, and substitute Max Meyer nearly levels it up but fires over on the turn.

Meanwhile, fellow German Mesut Ozil goes off in a strop as he is replaced by Danny Welbeck.
SUBS
65 min: Burnley 0-3 Chelsea

Change for Burnley as Ashley Barnes replaces Jeff Hendrick.
GOAL!
GOAL! Burnley 0-3 Chelsea (Willian 63')

The Brazilian has been threatening to do it all afternoon and he finally does. He cuts inside and this time gets his angles right, and a deflection off the defender takes it away from Hart and into the corner.
The answer to my earlier question? Definitely yes!

What time does it start?

Burnley vs Chelsea kicks off at 1:30pm (BST) on Sunday 28 October.

Where can I watch it?

The match will not be shown live on TV or online in the UK.

Independent Sport will keep you up to date with all the goals as they fly in via our live blog.

Highlights will be shown at 10:30pm on BBC One.

It’s a big game for…

Joe Hart: Former England number one Joe Hart has only kept two clean sheets in nine league appearances this season, and will want to bounce back after conceding five on his return to the Etihad stadium last Saturday. With Tom Heaton back fit, the 31-year-old will want to avoid a similar display this Sunday against Chelsea not only for his team’s sake, but to keep his place in the starting XI also.

Weird stat…

10: If the Blues avoid defeat on Sunday, Maurizio Sarri will become the first Chelsea manager in the Premier League era to remain unbeaten throughout his first 10 games in charge.

Remember when…

Burnley stunned champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on the opening day of last season. After Gary Cahill was sent off for a reckless challenge early on, Sam Vokes’ double and Stephen Ward’s strike put Burnley 3-0 ahead at half-time. Chelsea clawed two goals back in the second-half, but Sean Dyche’s men held out for a famous win.

Player to watch…

Mateo Kovacic: Despite Ruben Loftus-Cheek netting a hat-trick in the Europa League this week and Ross Barkley’s good form, Maurizio Sarri is likely to stick with Mateo Kovacic who has impressed so far this season. Wearing Eden Hazard’s old number 17 shirt, the 24-year-old on loan from Real Madrid has similar traits to the Belgian, and his creativity and slickness complements the robustness and power of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho at the heart of Chelsea’s midfield.

Past three-meetings…

Burnley 1 (Barnes) Chelsea (Long OG, Moses), Premier League, April 2018

Chelsea 2 (Morata, Luiz) Burnley 3 (Vokes 2, Ward), Premier League, August 2017

Burnley 1 (Brady) Chelsea 1 (Pedro), Premier League, February 2017

Form guide…

Burnley: LWLWDL

Chelsea: WDWWDW

Odds…

Burnley to win: 10/1

Chelsea to win: 7/20

Draw: 15/4
