Burnley vs Arsenal prediction: The Aubameyang statistic bookies will hate

Arsenal will be looking for a more convincing performance as they travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley - a side they have not beaten in their last three Premier League meetings.

The Gunners are the favourites at Turf Moor at evens with Grosvenor Sport while the hosts are 14/5 and a draw is 5/2.

The Inside Track's tipster Tom Phillips is backing Arsenal captain Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang to score anytime at 29/20 and backing Arsenal to score over 1.5 goals at 11/10.

Mikel Arteta may have breathed a sigh of relief when Aubameyang got the winner against Norwich City but they will need to be more clinical this season if they are to really show themselves as a top six club again.

Poor performances against Chelsea and Man City highlight just how big a task Arteta has on his plate - not that he needs reminding after last season's showing.

Team stats

After a run of 10 consecutive league defeats against Arsenal, Burnley are now unbeaten in their last three against Mikel Arteta's side with one win and two draws - a double chance Burnley/Draw is 4/5.

Arsenal are unebaten in their last nine away league games against Burnley (won four and drawn five) and have not lost at Turf Moor since December 1973 - a double chance on Arsenal/Draw is 7/25.

Player stats

Aubameyang has scored eight goals in seven appearances against Burnley and is unbeaten against the Clarets everytime he has scored (won four and drawn once).

However, Arsenal have failed to win whenever he has not scored with one draw and a 1-0 defeat last season.

Johann Gudmundsson and Ashley Barnes are both players that will be at the forefront of referee Anthony Taylor's mind.

Both players have committed seven fouls each in the Premier League and have both found themselves booked once this season. Barnes is 13/4 to be carded while Gudmundsson is 13/2 to go in the referee's book.

H2H

This will be the 112th meeting between the two sides and the 101st league meeting.

Arsenal have the better overall record with 54 wins, 23 draws and 34 defeats.

The Gunners have only managed one win in their last four league meetings against Sean Dyche's side.

Form

Arsenal got back to winning ways when they saw Norwich City off 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.

They still need to show signs of improvement having failed to score in their first three matches and conceding nine goals in that time too. With Spurs just around the corner it is a case of the sooner the better.

For Burnley, a point would be okay but a win is needed. Currently, Dyche's side are yet to get a win this season despite leading twice - against Brighton & Hove Albion on the opening day and away to Everton on Monday night.
