If proof were needed the Premier League rarely goes as one would expect, Burnley’s first two home games – a defeat to Swansea and a win over Liverpool – have underlined the point. A 3-0 defeat at Chelsea was rather more predictable but it is hard to know what to expect against a Hull side who were seconds away from an unbeaten start before losing to Manchester United.
