Burnley take Hibs' Kane O'Connor 'on trial' as young ace bids to win Premier League move

Hibernian youngster Kane O'Connor is reportedly on trial at Premier League side Burnley - with the defender also believed to be interesting Huddersfield Town and Brentford.

O'Connor has yet to feature for Hibs' first team but is Scotland captain at under-18 level and is a highly regarded prospect.

Football Insider reports that the youngster has gone on trial with the Turf Moor side as he bids to win a deal.

O'Connor is expected to visit all three clubs south of the border as his path to the Hibs first team remains blocked by more experienced stars.

The 18-year-old is expected to feature for Burnley’s Under-23s in a friendly game against Huddersfield on Wednesday which will allow both sides to get a look at the youngster at close quarters.

If he impresses, the Terriers are also expected to invite him to train with them before he makes a decision with regards to his future.

Meanwhile, Alex Gorrin has emerged as a target for Lech Poznan as the race heats up for the Motherwell star's signature.

The Sunday Mail reported that the likes of Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers and Millwall will watch him against Aberdeen this week with a view to making a move.

And now the Scottish Sun is reporting that the 25-year-old is also interesting the Polish giants.
