Burnley are set to rival Celtic for the signing of Airdrieonians winger Thomas Robert.
The English Premier League side scouted the 20-year-old last season and were impressed with his performances.
Robert, son of former Newcastle star Lauren, is due to head down south for a two-week trial with Sean Dyche's side ahead of a potential transfer.
The talented winger has a year left on his contract with the Diamonds after joining from French side Montpellier last summer.
Robert spent time on-trial with Celtic's development side last season but a potential move was complicated by the departure of former manager Neil Lennon.
Various English clubs watched the diminutive star at Airdrie last season while Aberdeen were reported to have a strong interest in the player.
