Premier League Burnley are worried they will not be able to afford Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall, according to the Daily Mirror.
Sean Dyche's side were linked with the talented centre-back at the weekend as they look to bolster their squad for next season.
But the Clarets feel that Forest will prove tough to break as they seem determined to keep hold of their top stars this summer.
And the Mirror say Burnley fear they will be priced out of a move for the 23-year-old with the Reds determined to be "tough negotiators".
The Reds have already shown their willingness to not their let their prized assets leave the City Ground on the cheap having turned down Sheffield United's £10m bid for Matty Cash.
And they would certainly play hardball with any attempt from a club trying to prise Worrall away from the City Ground.
The report says: "Burnley fear they could be priced out of a move for Nottingham Forest central defender Joe Worrall.
"Forest have shown by rejecting Sheffield United’s £10million bid for Matty Cash that they are determined to be.
"Worrall, 23, has four years left on his contract at the City Ground, which bolsters his value.
"Clarets boss Dyche will offload £15million centre-half Ben Gibson. Middlesbrough want to keep him on loan while Norwich are also keen."
